greetings

last night i saw the greetings.fi website last night for the first time – its tag line is “postikortteja todellisesta helsingistä” (postcards from the real helsinki). lots of funny/depressing/cold pictures from the alternate helsinki – drunks, snow, ice and so on. there is a big article about it in todays helsinki sanomat (see all the things i find when i do take the time to read the newspaper!). thanks to thomas who told me about the site last night.

  1. It was featured in the HS today, too. 🙂 There is an exhibit of 20 or so of the photos until 23.6 at Hippolyte Gallery (18 Kalevankatu) along with printed postcards there and at shops and cafes around the city.

    Oh, the truth hurts…..:)

  2. I’ve seen the link before, but for some reason thought that the entire site consisted of the “four seasons” image and that was it.

Little did I know there ws so much more!

  3. i think i’ll get some of the postcards and send them to irish friends to get them to come to helsinki. “see, its exactly like dublin – but brighter (during the summer)”
