random

random stuff:

currently watching a tv show on finnish tv called “verkossa” – the last two interviews (one with some random dude, the other with taneli tikka of irc-galleria.net). every single of both interviews has “web kaks piste nolla” (web 2.0) mentioned in every question and response. grrr. coming soon: the “web 2.0 drinking game” which involves one drinking a shot of whatever everytime this show says “web kaks piste nolla”.

saw james bond last night. was beyond great. shame we all have to wait two years for the next one.

going to berlin on friday for a few days. why not. i have no idea what to expect from the city. i know nothing of it except the most basic things (there was a wall) and that almost everyone loves it. gonna be great.

spent an hour in the bank the other day getting lots of information about my pension and random savings schemes.

twitter is the current obsession. it will pass no doubt.

i bought a little box that connects to my laptop that allows one to watch tv on the laptop. shame there is nothing on except the afore mentioned verkossa and “will and grace”. eugh.

  1. No problem.. Hmm other tips, you might want to see the Jewish Memorial or whatever it’s called. Go to Potsdamer Platz by subway and when you get out from the station there are signs that point you in the right direction. It’s outside so go when it’s not dark yet.

And if you want to go out at night, go to Prenzlauer Berg or Kreuzberg. If you want to see what’s happening in town, go to Kreuzberg recordshops and collect all the flyers there. Or you might want to check out the magazine Zitty. They’ve got a lot of good info I think. http://musik.zitty.de/

One thing that we didn’t have time to do was take a trip with the round S-lines. They were called S4something. It takes about 60 minutes. Dunno if it’s worth it though, but if you get the bus/tram/trainticket (you should, 7 days card is 25€) it’s not going to cost you anything. We wanted to see Tempelhof airport.

Oh, and then there’s the usual tourist stuff, walk on Unter Den Linden and go to the museum island. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unter_den_Linden
