i scanned in some old pictures from 1998 when i was home over xmas. here they are: 1998.09 nyc. its the week that led on to everything else.

every city should have a magazine like kbh. now to figure out what it says (its all in danish). its all about architecture, culture, townlife (erm i think - byliv), design and activities. the magazine covers a lot of the new modern planning and architecture projects going on about copenhagen. helsinki + dublin could do with something like that.

a dog waiting in humlebæk in denmark.
recently, ive started taking pictures of dogs waiting for their owners. go here for some more.
extra: there is a flickr group! oooo: “wartende hunde“
a few years ago when the santiago calatrava designed “james joyce” bridge in dublin was finished, rté broadcast a documentary about the architect. i have it here somewhere on vhs and will put it to avi one of these days.
but in the mean time for those french speakers out there, or people who just like to listen to the dulcet tones of a man speaking french whilst looking at nice architecture then go see the same documentary in french on youtube in three parts.
nice to come home after three weeks away to find a bundle of post waiting. im sleepy.
only one poster (the big one) and one photo fell from my bedroom wall in my absence.
i like getting bills that ive already payed. makes me feel good.
(not looking forward to the next one though)
i got my first issue to the drunken jpg magazine subscription i took out a while back.
also got the design 2007 issue of muoto lehti.
keep remembering things.
the hel looks exhibition is gonna be in copenhagen.
i like the check-in kiosks in airports.
why is it still really warm here in helsinki? its +5c and raining. shouldnt be.
oh. i got to see turkish star wars 2 (imdb link) the other night in copenhagen. with dutch subtitles (yes dutch). i didnt understand a thing. but thats not the point. didnt have the mindwarpingness of the first one but it was still enjoyable.

dublin airport the other morning. shortly before a five hour delay.

went to a really nice exhibition on at the danish architecture centre yesterday about some ideas for the future of some cities in china. called “co-evolution“.
pictures are now on flickr: co-evolution
the other night on telly there was a once off special of “the late late show” in which they looked back at some of the comedy guests over the shows forty year history. one of the bits was on american irish comedian des bishop - he was dressed in a cork gaelic jersey and had a “in the future” type sketch about some day in 2030 (i think) the fella who would raise aloft the mccarthy cup would be a black man.
on television earlier today was a minor (aged 13ish) school gaelic football match - at least two of the fellas on one of the teams are black. future is well on its way. (ignore the hurling/football mix up there)
