i have been doing bits n pieces of 3d work over the last few weeks. the course is going sortof well. so far it has been a refresher course in what i knew already, so my lack of proper finnish hasnt held me back so far. or maybe because i have maybe a 30% clue of whats going on, i am missing out on all the secrets that everyone else is getting. ah well. one thing i do find annoying is how hard it is to talk to people, finns are slightly different and quieter than irish people and but the language barrier is the biggest .. erm .. barrier.
i did some 3d images for päivis work last week, due to that i think i might be able to do some follow on work, i'll know more on monday.

oh mtv. your programmes have ruined my life. sisqos shakedown and its forebearers freaked me out so much i stopped clubbing. jackass does nothing for me. a few mild chuckles then i start to feel anger and pity. trl needs to be banned now, the sight of silly screaming kids makes me wanna kill plasticpopstar. but, "pimp my ride" has changed it all.
its on here now twice a night and its one of the best programmes ive seen in years. its got everything: crazy rapper host, random semi lost late teenage american kid with a crap car, ducktape, rust, surprises, lots of dudes messing around with cars in a graffitti riddled building, lots of silly neon and pointless over the top paint jobs and 60inch wheels or something. i am not a car person, i love trams and trains and stuff, but still "pimp my ride" is genius. well done mtv.

it was +2c here yesterday morning (thats 35,6f). everyone was shivering when i was going into the city centre. people had gloves on. winter is coming, and thankfully the tv is livening up again. lots of good documentaries on over the last few days, all in english (with finnish subtitles). season 3 of alias started last night on nelonen and last week sub tv started showing st:tng again twice a week. ouujea. also looking forward to the final few episodes of samurai jack.
blue really is the greatest colour.
ive been having tremendous fun over the last few weeks listening to a short series of shows on rté radio 1. its hosted by a well known irish comedian tommy tiernan and he interviewed a variety of irish politicans/comedians/his english teacher/eddie izzard. the show is available on real media streaming files here: rte.ie/radio1.
messing around on archicad in the course last night. going okay so far.
all that confusion and mess and all the time not much is happening. just like whats going on with me. if i were to try to explain it all id go on for several pages and at the end of it all we'd all be confused and none the wiser.
