“untitled 3” by the austrian electro artist “pita” is my favourite electronica song. i only listen to it once ever six month. anything more than that and i get hearing damage.

it was released in 1999 and i first heard it in 2001 when ha played it for me, maja got me a copy of it last year i think.

ive not done much research on it, but i think the song is a remix/sample distorted beyond belief version of hirds “i crudeli”, where the original (which i only heard once on television one night, the familiar sound niggling at me, i couldnt place it for ages) was calm and simple, the pita version is like the soundtrack to a lightening storm. its got such power and such subtle beauty in it. shear brilliance.
