in ’99 i flew from jfk to detroit with twa. i flew from the fantastic eero saarien designed twa terminal in jfk. after a few years of closure/probable art gallery it looks like it will be reopened in some form or another by the american low cost airline jetblue as part of their own new terminal. hopefully jetblues instincts as a low cost airline will not stop them from applying a bit of architectural thought to what they need, something that complements the masterpiece that is saarinens work.
